We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to ensure the optimal performance of commercial laundry equipment. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems to install, service, and repair equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to quality standards. Strong diagnostic and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
- Perform on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial laundry equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, providing accurate assessments and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Provide exceptional customer service by offering clear explanations of findings, recommendations, and instructions on equipment usage.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts usage and service reports, to ensure efficient tracking and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair, contributing to a seamless and efficient workflow.
- Manage inventory of assigned company vehicle, ensuring proper stock levels and accurate reporting of company expenses.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, demonstrating a commitment to resolving customer issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by sharing best practices and escalating complex issues to the Service Manager.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Knowledge of single-phase electric power equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- 2+ years of experience in commercial, military, industrial, or manufacturing equipment repair.
- Experience with telephone and email/ticketing dispatch systems.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
