About the Role
We are seeking a Paraprofessional to provide instructional and behavioral support to assigned students, implementing educational programs as determined by the teacher, resource team, and administrators, and helping students stay safe and grow toward independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support to assigned students to implement educational programs as determined by the teacher/resource team/administrator
- Implement behavioral programming as determined by the team
- Provide personal and safety assistance to students
- Supervise students as required in classroom, media room, cafeteria/multi-purpose room, sensory room, gym, playground, and field trips
- Assist with critical daily activities such as classroom transitions, mealtimes, and toileting
- Foster student independence
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Paraprofessional Educator License issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, human services, or a disability-related field and Paraprofessional Educator License, or Professional Educator License with Stipulations
