We are seeking a passionate and energetic Child Care Director to lead and oversee our early childhood education programs. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily classroom activities and ensure they align with developmental best practices and curriculum standards.
- Lead, supervise, and support teaching staff to maintain high-quality childcare and early childhood education.
- Have knowledge of Georgia Pre-K rules and regulations.
- Have knowledge of the process to becoming Quality Rated.
- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing health and safety policies, including first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws, and knowing Bright From the Start rules and regulations.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior management strategies, and program updates to foster strong partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and state/federal childcare requirements.
- Manage administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, record keeping, incident reports, and enrollment documentation.
- Promote a positive team culture that encourages professional growth through ongoing training in areas like classroom management, special education, toddler care, infant care, and working with children with disabilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
- Strong background in early childhood education principles such as childhood development theories and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification is preferred.
- Prior experience in daycare center management or supervising childcare staff is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse prevention and intervention.
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging learning environments that support behavioral management and individual needs.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education is a plus.
- Experience with Georgia Pre-K.
- Experience with Quality Rated.
