Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of construction machinery, industrial equipment, farm machinery, and transportation vehicles. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using OEM schematics and electrical diagnostics tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery, farm equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other heavy equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific repair needs.
- Service and repair hydraulic systems, alignments, HVAC systems on heavy machinery, brake systems, tires, and perform wheel alignments for optimal safety.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics software and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues accurately.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, incident logs, and ensure compliance with safety standards at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician with a strong background in construction machinery maintenance or industrial equipment servicing.
- Dealership experience is highly desirable for familiarity with OEM parts and repair procedures.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential.
- Knowledge of electrical diagnostics for automotive and industrial applications; ability to read schematics confidently.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, and heavy lifting techniques safely.
- Experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, or similar machinery is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate repairs and solutions.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
