We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dental Sterilization Technician / Hygiene Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment while supporting our hygienists and doctors in delivering exceptional patient care.
Full Time Monday - Friday
Qualifications:
- Pediatric Experience Required
- Hygiene Assistance Experience Required
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a dental office Required
- Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols
- X-ray certification Required
- Current CPR/BLS certification Required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Responsibilities:
- Properly sterilize, disinfect, and prepare dental instruments and operatories according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Maintain and monitor sterilization equipment and logs
- Set up and break down treatment rooms for hygiene and dental procedures
- Assist hygienists with charting, x-rays, suctioning, and patient care as needed
- Ensure adequate inventory of clinical supplies and restock as necessary
- Welcome patients to the treatment area and help them feel comfortable
- Accurately update patient records and assist with documentation
- Follow all infection control, health, and safety protocols
- Support front office tasks as needed, including scheduling or confirming appointments
