Duties
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and assisting with physical assessments
- Manage patient intake processes, including documentation and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately
- Assist with obtaining basic laboratory tests.
- Assist with pulmonary function testing, hearing screenings, vision screenings, and resting EKG (training provided)
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient follow-up
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program or institution
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology for accurate documentation
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to perform intake assessments, vital signs collection, and basic medication administration confidently
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations across all age groups
