1. JOB IDENTIFICATION
Job Title: Production Manager/Supervisor
Reporting Relationships: General Manager
Salary: $85,000 to $95,000 USD
Date: August 2026
2. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Responsible for insuring that all company orders are produced on budget and on time. Responsible for supervising all production related individuals working on various jobs under their control ensuring our standard of workmanship is maintained. Responsible for safety, training and continuous improvement within the production facility. Lastly, establishing a positive and cooperative atmosphere.
3. DUTIES AND TASKS
- Daily: Execute production plan according to schedule; Solve production related problems and reduce rework and repairs; Manage time and material use data records; Manage shop training program; Maintain Stock storage systems and Kanbans. Maintain a clean and organized shop, using Lean manufacturing techniques.
- Weekly: Chair production meetings; Attend other meetings as required; Manage Job Control within ERP system software.
- Monthly: Manage Equipment Maintenance; Perform evaluations; Collect and report KPI data
- Supervise: Production Supervisor, Leads, Operators, Maintenance, Material handler and Shipper/Receiver.
- As required: Project management; Management reporting; Hiring and firing; settle disputes.
4. REQUIREMENTS
- Education required: University degree with emphasis on Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Experience required: Five years as Production Manager.
- Experience preferred: Five years as Production Manager, with experience in industrial manufacturing.
- Language: English
5. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES
- Must be fully conversant with production management techniques and skills, so as to insure company projects are kept on schedule and within cost budgets.
- Must be able to handle several significant projects at one time, understanding the time and financial constraints of each.
- Must be able to work with in-house staff, ensuring that they are aware of the job requirements.
- Must be sufficiently proficient with computer software to utilize job management (ERP) and Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to work with junior project managers and production supervisors, guiding their development and training.
