An established cage-free daycare and boarding facility is seeking a dedicated, hardworking employee. We are looking to fill an entry level doggy Overnight Pet Care Attendant. The positions available is for full time(37+hrs). Previous dog experience preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
The Overnight Pet Care Attendant is responsible for the supervision, control and management of our boarding dogs, and ensuring the safety of these guests. Additionally, the Overnight Pet Care Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of the playrooms as well as other areas of the facility as assigned
Applicants interested in this position must be available to work overnights weekdays, overnight weekends, and Holidays overnight hours. We are looking to have a new hire ready to begin training within two weeks. Requirements:
* Must be reliable, and on time
* Love dogs and care about their welfare.
* Be able to do cleaning - this can be a gross job, you must be prepared to deal with poop and other dog liquids.
* Able to lift 40+ lbs. - (i.e. a full mop bucket)
* Be comfortable around large groups of dogs
* Be able to learn/use our computer/cloud system
* Ability to multi-task
* Be a team player
* Must have a high school degree or equivalent
* Ability to communicate clearly as well as follow written and spoken directions
* A willingness to attain skills, which will be used utilized on the job
Some general duties will include the following:
Monitoring dogs, cleaning, disinfecting and de-hairing floors (indoor) and kennels; mopping, sweeping; scooping poop; transferring dogs between: play areas; bathing areas, reporting changes in behavior, appetite, signs of illness such unusual bowel movements, vomiting, etc.; and more...
