House of Spells is hiring 2 Assistant Managers to lead operations at our massive new flagship centre in Times Square! If you have strong retail management experience, a passion for tracking metrics, and love coaching a team to deliver incredible customer service, we want you on our leadership team.
You will be responsible for supervising our daily sales floors, checkout lanes, and stockroom inventory teams to keep the entire store running flawlessly.
What You Will Do Day-to-Day:
- Run the daily pre-shift meetings to give your team their daily targets, visual display guidelines, and security updates.
- Assign Sales Associates to their specific "Fandom Zones" and hold them accountable for keeping shelves full and beautifully organized.
- Monitor checkout counters, assist cashiers with customer issues, and make sure loyalty program sign-ups stay on track.
- Work closely with the inventory team to ensure incoming vendor deliveries are checked, tagged, and brought to the floor efficiently.
- Approve stock room inventory adjustments, investigate stock discrepancies, and prevent product shrinkage.
- Use store walkie-talkies to coordinate floor recovery, handle immediate safety or maintenance issues, and manage fast-paced guest requests.
- Conduct performance tracking reviews and coach team members using detailed KPI scorecards.
What We Are Looking For:
- At least 2–3 years of retail management or supervisory experience, preferably in high-volume, flagship, or tourist-heavy locations.
- Strong experience working with retail POS systems, inventory management platforms (like Lightspeed), and tracking spreadsheets.
- High operational standards—someone who takes pride in maintaining a dust-free, fully tagged, and perfectly organized store environment.
- A natural coach who can keep team morale high while maintaining strict compliance with uniform, attendance, and punctuality rules.
- Excellent conflict-resolution skills for both customer relations and internal staff management.
