Responsibilities
- Enforce traffic laws, local ordinances, and criminal statutes to maintain public safety and order.
- Conduct patrols using standard passenger cars, ensuring visibility and quick response to incidents.
- Investigate criminal activity through evidence collection, report writing, and surveillance techniques.
- Execute arrest procedures following proper legal protocols while managing conflict situations effectively.
- Apply first aid and CPR protocols during emergencies until medical professionals arrive.
- Handle evidence law, search and seizure procedures, and criminal investigation processes accurately.
- Manage traffic stops, accident scenes, and conduct investigations related to criminal or civil violations.
- Utilize firearms handling skills responsibly in law enforcement scenarios while adhering to use of force training standards.
- Engage in community policing efforts to foster trust and cooperation with residents and local organizations.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, investigations, reports, and departmental documentation with precision.
Experience
- ACT 120 Certified
- Demonstrated knowledge of procedural law, criminal procedure, evidence law, and immigration law as applicable.
- Strong background in criminal investigation techniques including surveillance, search warrants, and arrest procedures.
- Physical conditioning to meet the demands of patrol duties and emergency response activities.
- Skills in conflict management, animal handling when necessary, and loss prevention strategies.
- Experience operating firearms safely within a law enforcement context along with comprehensive use of force training.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism in high-stakes situations.
- Familiarity with traffic laws, local ordinances, criminal law experience, and investigative protocols is highly desirable.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
