Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders at the front counter, ensuring quick and friendly service.
- Operate POS systems such as Square POS accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts.
- Prepare and serve food items following safety and sanitation standards, including basic food preparation and food handling procedures.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter area, including bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring food safety compliance.
- Manage cash register operations efficiently, including cash handling, giving change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Support kitchen staff with food prep tasks when needed, demonstrating culinary experience and teamwork in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environments.
- Familiarity with Square POS or willingness to learn to perform cashier duties
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between serving customers and food prep.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales upselling, and inventory management.

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
