Position Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and preparation of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and related mechanical infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients to develop efficient, code-compliant designs from concept through construction.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Develop and modify construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals using Bluebeam Revu.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure project integration.
- Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Assist during construction by responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and providing engineering support.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 0–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, preferably in a consulting engineering environment. Exceptional recent graduates with relevant internships or co-op experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing system design principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred:
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain.
- Experience with applicable mechanical design and energy codes.
- Previous consulting engineering experience is a plus.

Pay: $60,400.00 - $100,800.00 per year
