Job Title: Med Tech / Caregiver – Day Shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) and NOC shift (6:00AM-6:00PM)

Reports To: Wellness Director / Executive Director
Schedule: Full-time, 12-Hour Day Shifts
Position Summary:
The Peaks at South Jordan is looking for a reliable and compassionate Med Tech/Caregiver to serve our residents during 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) 12- hour NOC shifts ( 6:00PM-6:00AM)in our Memory Care neighborhood. This role is essential in helping residents start their day with purpose, dignity, and comfort while providing quality medication management and personal care throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications accurately in accordance with state regulations and community policies
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and mobility
- Use person-centered memory care techniques such as redirection and validation
- Support residents in attending meals, activities, and wellness programs
- Observe and document residents’ behavior, health changes, and care outcomes
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in resident rooms and common areas
- Respond to call systems and resident needs with a sense of urgency and empathy
- Help ensure a smooth handoff to the incoming shift through clear communication and accurate reporting
Qualifications:
- CNA license preferred (Utah certification ideal, but not required)
- Prior experience in Memory Care
- Positive, patient, and team-oriented approach to caregiving
- Able to lift, assist with mobility, and perform physically active duties
- Strong communication and observational skills
