Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Delivery Driver and Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely delivering products to customer locations and expertly installing a variety of appliances and equipment. Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles to transport appliances, HVAC units, or mechanical equipment to customer sites.
- Load and unload products using power tools, hand tools, and proper lifting techniques, ensuring secure transportation.
- Install appliances, refrigeration units, HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, or mechanical equipment according to schematics and technical specifications.
- Use ladder work and electrical experience to troubleshoot issues during installation or repair processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on delivered equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Communicate effectively with customers during delivery and installation appointments, providing excellent service and answering questions about product operation.
- Complete detailed documentation of deliveries, installations, repairs, and service reports accurately in company systems.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver with knowledge of safe driving practices for box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, mechanical systems, HVAC installation or maintenance, or field service roles.
- Familiarity with schematics, ladder use, electrical wiring, refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, and equipment repair techniques.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently during installation or repair tasks.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in diverse environments.
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), service technician practices, and basic electrical or HVAC principles is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and work at heights using ladders safely is essential.
