Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, with experience in programming and operating CNC machines. This role involves fabricating precision parts and components, ensuring high-quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. The CNC Machinist will work closely with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
Job Requirements:
- 5 or more years’ prior experience as a Machinist performing set-up, operation and programming required, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Familiar with on 3 and 5 axis machines and lathes preferably using Mastercam SolidWorks CAD software experience preferred.
- Responsible for all process of the CNC machines, set ups, loading parts, operating controls and setting offsets
- Working knowledge of machine capabilities, including cut and horsepower data, as well as material properties.
- Able to use precision measuring instruments, Calipers, Pitch Mics, Depth Mics etc., manual inspection tools, CNC tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures and other accessories used on various machines.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight tolerances and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work
- Responsible for maintaining quality control of all parts produced on CNC machines
- Proficient is blueprint reading, technical drawings, geometry and algebra.
- Operate multiple machines daily and maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Must stay current with machining skills and have a willingness and ability to build great relationships with other Machinists and regularly work with them for feedback and continual improvement.
- US Government contracts/ITAR requirements apply, limiting this position to “US Person” requirements. You must be able to provide valid documentation to prove US citizenship or an unexpired Permanent Resident Card. Only regional candidates who meet this criterion will be considered.
