CARAFAP is an approved Autism Waiver and DDA Provider, located in Columbia, Maryland. We provide in home and community-based supports throughout the state of Maryland. If hired, we will make every attempt to place you near your residence.
Requirements:
High School Diploma preferred
100 hours of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; at least 1 year preferred
Responsibilities:
Provide supportive intensive individual support services, personal support services and/or respite care services to clients in home and/or in the community
Encourage and promote client's independence and autonomy skills to provide behavior management strategies and skills
Ability to handle challenging and difficult clients and situations (some may have extreme aggression)
Ability to engage the client in some structured based activities
In a timely manner, complete all required documents supporting type of services provided to the client (including time and attendance, daily logs, progress and monthly notes, treatment plans, crisis plans, etc.)
Provide least intrusive methods of intervention
Provide community integration opportunities by encouraging use of public resources and recreational facilities
Maintain consumer confidentiality
Provides supervision to the client while respite services are being performed

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
