Being at the forefront of innovation is exciting, and leading transformation in a large global organization is a role that many people aspire to. If this is you, we have a transformational role in our newly developed platform services organization. We’re looking for a transformational leader in our technology services hub focused on marketing technologies.
The Senior Director, Platforms Engineering, is a senior technology leader accountable for the company’s enterprise MarTech platform suites and their integration into the broader Coca-Cola technology ecosystem. Reporting to the Head of Development, this leader owns the strategy, management and engineering for these platforms and the products and capabilities built on them, supporting marketing, consumer experience and commercial growth across all regions (North America, LATAM, EMEA, APAC).
The role owns the full Adobe Experience Cloud suite (AEM, Workfront, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Experience Platform, and related modules), Salesforce, OneTrust and other enterprise MarTech platforms. The leader is responsible for managing these platforms, overseeing the products and capabilities built on them, and ensuring they are integrated cleanly and reliably with Coca-Cola’s enterprise and MarTech systems.
This leader directs a multi-team engineering and platform group operating within a modern Product Operating Model, and is accountable for the resilience, scalability, security, and performance of the platform estate, which directly impacts consumer engagement, campaign delivery, and data-driven decision making worldwide.
A priority of this role is to apply Generative AI and the native AI capabilities of these platforms (for example, Adobe and Salesforce AI features) to improve how products are built, integrated, and operated, progressing from AI-assisted workflows toward AI-enabled delivery over time, responsibly and with measurable business value.
This leader oversees the enterprise MarTech platform suites and their integration into the broader technology ecosystem. The Directors and Managers across the platform and integration teams report to this role. This role reports to the Vice President, Platform & Product Engineering, and partners closely with the Senior Directors across Product Development, Operations, and Architecture.
Engineering Leadership & Organizational Excellence
Build empowered teams that own platform problems end to end, from configuration and build through integration, operation, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, develop, and retain top platform engineering and integration talent, including specialists across Adobe, Salesforce, and data/identity, creating a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
Establish engineering and integration standards, operating rhythms, and accountability frameworks aligned to business outcomes, consistent with portfolio-wide direction set by the Head of Development.
Platform Ownership & Integration
Own the full Adobe Experience Cloud suite (AEM, Workfront, AJO, AEP, and related modules) and other enterprise MarTech platforms, including roadmap, configuration, upgrades, licensing posture, and overall health.
Oversee the products and capabilities built on these platforms, ensuring they are delivered with quality, reliability, and speed and meet marketing and business needs.
Own the integration layer: ensure clean, reliable, secure integration of these platforms with Coca-Cola’s enterprise and MarTech systems, including data, identity, consent, and API connectivity.
Ensure data governance, privacy, and consent are embedded across platforms and integrations, in line with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
Vendor & Commercial Platform Management
Manage relationships with strategic platform vendors, holding them accountable for value, roadmap alignment, and service quality.
Technical Strategy & Architecture Leadership
Define and evolve the technical and integration architecture required to run the MarTech platform estate at a global scale, with a focus on interoperability, reuse, and maintainability.
Drive an API-first, event-driven integration approach across Adobe, Salesforce, and enterprise systems, minimizing point-to-point complexity and technical debt.
Ensure platforms and integrations are designed for scale, resiliency, security, and long-term sustainability, balancing delivery speed with operational stability.
Generative AI & Platform AI Enablement
Champion the adoption of Generative AI and the native AI capabilities of the platforms (e.g., Adobe and Salesforce AI features) to improve how products are built, integrated and operated, and to lift developer and marketer productivity.
Engagement & Strategic Influence
Communicate engineering strategy, risks, tradeoffs, and investment needs to executive stakeholders with clarity and credibility.
Influence enterprise technology direction, ensuring alignment across product engineering, enterprise architecture, and business strategy, and participate in executive planning cycles.
Operational Excellence & Engineering Effectiveness
Establish outcome-focused engineering metrics, including system reliability, deployment frequency, cycle time, and business impact.
Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including continuous delivery, automated testing, observability, and platform engineering.
Ensure operational stability, resilience, and scalability of critical systems, partnering with Tech Operations on reliability and incident prevention.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Leadership & Product Model Experience
Deep expertise across enterprise MarTech platforms, with hands-on depth in Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, AEP, AJO, Workfront), Salesforce, and consent/privacy platforms, with the ability to engage credibly on configuration, architecture, and integration tradeoffs.
Communication & Leadership Presence
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and demonstrated professional experience will also be considered.
