Job Summary

Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following all safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies with proper ergonomic techniques.
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing surfaces to ensure pristine condition.
- Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols to prioritize tasks, report maintenance issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to hotel emergency procedures in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
- Use janitorial equipment and industrial cleaning tools effectively while maintaining cleanliness standards across all areas.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles within hospitality environments.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including the use of chemical agents and industrial cleaning equipment.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and standards.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Knowledge of safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures.
- Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in a hospitality setting.
