Infinite Heart Support Care Services is seeking an energetic, bilingual (Spanish/English) Direct Support Professional to work with a teenager with intellectual disabilities who enjoys staying active, playing sports, video games, and learning new skills in the community.
This is not a sit-at-home caregiving position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being active, building positive relationships, and helping a young person develop confidence, independence, and social skills through meaningful community experiences.
About the Individual
The young man enjoys:
- Basketball
- Sports and fitness activities
- Going to the YMCA
- Video games
- Working on and learning about cars
- Community outings
- Social interaction and hands-on activities
He is looking for someone who can engage with him, encourage him, and help create enjoyable experiences both at home and in the community.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Additional weekend hours available
- Consistent weekly schedule
Responsibilities
- Accompany client on community outings
- Participate in recreational activities including basketball and sports
- Attend YMCA and community activities
- Help identify new and creative activities in the community
- Encourage social interaction and community involvement
- Support development of independence and life skills
- Provide supervision and companionship
- Assist with transportation to activities and appointments as needed
- Complete required documentation and communication with the agency
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver's License required
- Reliable transportation required
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Ability to pass background screening requirements
