Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Consultant (BCaBA or BCBA) to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality behavior consultation to individuals, particularly children, teens, adults with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diagnostic evaluation, patient assessment, and applied behavior analysis, contributing to the development of effective treatment planning tailored to each individual's needs.
Hybrid services include:
- ~20% In-Person - modeling and training caregivers and support staff, observing client in natural environment, and ongoing client check-ins (1x+/month - home and community settings: group home, day program, client residence) Regions: Leesburg, Ashburn, Brambleton, Purcellville, One Loudoun, Sterling, Lansdowne, Aldie, South Riding, Chantilly, Dulles
- ~40% Telemedicine/Telehealth - includes methods of audio only consultation and video + audio consultation
- ~40% Office Time - work from home, reviewing/analyzing documentation, analyzing data, summarizing assessment results, designing and developing Behavior Support Plan, developing supporting assistive technology/data collection methods/materials/trainings, and ongoing monitoring and editing of the Behavior Support Plan for necessary updates.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for all evaluations and treatment plans.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support individuals with disabilities.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on behavioral strategies and interventions.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
Requirements
- Must reside in Virginia, Maryland or West Virginia
- Master's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- BCBA Certification and LBA in Virginia
- Proven experience working with children and individuals with disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation methods and patient assessment practices.
- Familiarity with special education regulations and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data collection and documentation.
