We are seeking to fill a Part-Time Water Resource Technician position in the Dorris, CA area.
Water Resources Technician Position:
We are seeking a Water Resources Technician to join our dynamic team at Endemic Environmental Services, Inc. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing a water resources project. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality environmental services while promoting our mission of ecological preservation.
Site fieldwork, includes: traversing throughout the project site, observing construction impacts, taking stormwater samples, evaluating environmental compliance, issuing recommendations to the primary contractor based on the Water Resources Managers input, reviewing site documents, producing reports after an inspection in a timely manner, and keeping the site documentation up to date.
Hybrid Position - Onsite Inspections and Report Writing/Administrative duties
A qualified candidate will:
- Exercise safe work practices by following all company safety rules and Cal/OSHA regulations.
- Conduct stormwater inspections and sampling.
- Work with clients to provide environmentally sound solutions for their water-quality challenges.
- Possess strong technical writing skills (ability to write detailed reports with photo logs) producing grammatically correct reports.
- Have the ability to read and interpret lengthy permits and site documents.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Use, maintain, and calibrate sampling equipment such as a Turbidity Meter and pH meter.
- Conduct fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather, and/or in rugged terrain.
- Be comfortable working on construction sites and around heavy equipment.
- Be comfortable communicating with construction personnel.
- Accurately follow instructions and procedures with attention to detail.
- Stay organized.
- Attend meetings.

Travel:
- Must possess a valid California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
- Be able to travel independently to the project site using a reliable personal vehicle.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Some overtime and weekends, as needed
