Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, verifying personal and insurance information
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (ModMed)
- Collect and process patient payments, co-pays, and insurance information accurately
- Manage incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately to ensure timely communication
- Maintain up-to-date patient records in compliance with health regulation policies and privacy standards
- Assist with verifying insurance coverage, submitting claims, and following up on outstanding payments
- Support medical administrative tasks such as preparing documentation, updating medical histories, and managing correspondence
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient flow and adherence to clinic protocols
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office environment or dental office is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of health regulation policies and insurance procedures is essential
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records is required (ModMed preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to support medical administrative functions with accuracy and efficiency
- Familiarity with medical terminology to facilitate clear communication within healthcare settings
- Office experience that showcases organizational skills, multitasking ability, and customer service excellence
- Knowledge of health insurance processes including claims submission and benefits verification

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
