Full-Time | Competitive Pay | Company Vehicle | Leadership Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced HVAC Lead Technician who is ready to take ownership of jobs and play a major role in the growth of our HVAC operation. This is not an entry-level position, and we are not looking for someone who needs to be managed throughout the day. We want an experienced HVAC professional who knows the trade, can solve problems in the field, lead a crew, and get jobs completed correctly and efficiently. If you are currently the person everyone calls when there is a difficult install, service issue, or problem that needs to be figured out, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Be Responsible For You will have a hands-on leadership role covering both HVAC installation and service, including:
- Running residential and light commercial HVAC installations
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems
- Leading installers, technicians, and apprentices
- Planning jobs before work begins
- Reviewing plans, equipment requirements, and job specifications
- Making sure crews have the correct materials and equipment
- Keeping jobs organized and moving forward
- Completing equipment startups and system commissioning
- Troubleshooting electrical, refrigeration, airflow, controls, and mechanical issues
- Coordinating with builders, homeowners, inspectors, subcontractors, and management
- Training and developing less-experienced employees
- Holding your crew accountable for workmanship and productivity
- Identifying problems early and communicating them before they affect the schedule
- Making sure completed work meets company standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes
Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who already knows how to do the job. You should have:
- Strong hands-on HVAC installation and service experience
- Experience leading jobs, crews, or other technicians
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Residential new construction experience
- Replacement and retrofit experience
- HVAC service experience
- Knowledge of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, controls, thermostats, ventilation, and duct systems
- Understanding of refrigeration, electrical systems, airflow, and equipment operation
- Ability to read plans and specifications
- Ability to plan ahead and stay organized
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- EPA 608 Certification preferred
The Type of Person We Want We want someone who takes ownership. That means you:
- Don't need someone constantly checking on you
- Think ahead instead of waiting for problems to happen
- Take pride in doing the job correctly
- Keep your truck, materials, paperwork, and jobs organized
- Can make decisions in the field
- Communicate when something isn't right
- Expect quality work from yourself and the people working with you
- Can teach younger employees instead of just doing everything yourself
- Understand that being a lead means being accountable for the entire job—not just your portion of it
We are not looking for someone who simply wants to punch a clock. We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of the company and help build a strong HVAC team.
What We Offer For the right person, we are willing to offer a strong compensation package that reflects your experience and ability. Benefits may include:
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Overtime opportunities
- Company vehicle
- Company-paid fuel
- Health insurance
- Paid vacation / PTO
- Retirement benefits
- Company-provided equipment and support
- Opportunity for increased responsibility and advancement
Pay will reflect experience, leadership ability, and what you can bring to the company.
If you're already a strong HVAC technician but feel like you've hit a ceiling where you're currently working, this may be the opportunity to take the next step.
Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday, with overtime available and additional hours when needed.
