LEAD TEACHER
Established Brooklyn Pre-school is looking to hire a NYS CERTIFIED Teacher for our 4K classroom. We are a small school located in a very diverse, multi-cultural, up and coming neighborhood. Our program has been serving Sunset Park since 1984. We are looking for a Teacher who is creative, energetic, loving; with effective communication skills and strong organizational skills. Punctuality, reliability, enthusiasm, and a positive, joyful demeanor are of the utmost importance. Bilingual Spanish very helpful. Salary scale adjusted for candidate's qualifications. Study Plan considered.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR LEAD TEACHER:
- Bachelor's degree in ECE required. Master's Degree Preferred.
- Must Have NYS Certification
- NYS License- B-2, N6, PreK -6, 1-6 General Ed, 1-6 SWD, ONLY Need Apply.
- Have at least 1 year Lead Teacher experience in a reputable early childhood setting.
- Be PROFICIENT in planning and implementing a quality curriculum based on the New York State Prekindergarten Standards.
- Be familiar with, ESI3, ASQ, C.L.A.S.S., E.C.E.R.S- and TEACHING STRATEGIES GOLD assessment tools.
- Have considerable knowledge of The Creative Curriculum teaching tool.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment that helps children learn and grow.
- Develop engaging activities and lesson plans that foster the whole child concept and take each child's individual needs into consideration.
- Supervise and collaborate with Assistant Teachers regarding program development, planning and implementation.
- Maintain Children's developmental profiles and health logs. - Observe, collect, and record data for child assessments.
- Maintain classroom environment in accordance with the E.C.E.R.S. (Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale).
- Maintain healthy dialogue with Education Director regarding all things pertaining to the classroom, students, parents, general environment.
- Attend team meetings, staff meetings, and educational workshops as necessary.

Salary and Benefits: Excellent salary and benefits package for the right person.
