Arts Bonita (Center for the Arts Bonita Springs) is seeking dynamic and experienced instructors in the disciplines of Digital Media, Film, Photography, Graphic Design to teach at our Digital Arts Camp. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and inspiring students of all levels, ages 8 – 17. This role involves teaching up to 5 - 1 week sessions, Monday through Friday, from 9am-4pm, which consists of teaching core digital art skills and guiding students through the creation of digital portfolios or culminating projects to showcase their work at the end of the camp.

Responsibilities:
- Instruction: Planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate digital art classes and projects for the camp, covering areas of Digital Media, Film, Photography, or Graphic Design
- Curriculum Development: Creating lesson plans for each 1 week camp that will be fun, effective, and productive for all students in the chosen digital art discipline(s). Instructors will select and guide student's work to be showcased in a final digital presentation.
- Demonstration & Explanation: Clearly demonstrating digital art techniques and software tools, providing verbal and visual cues, and breaking down fundamental digital art concepts such as layering, composition, color theory (in a digital context), and file management.
- Skill Development: Teaching proper digital art techniques, understanding of evolving workflows for creative problem-solving within digital mediums, data organization, and presentation of digital work.
- Class Management: Maintaining a positive and focused digital learning environment, managing student engagement with technology, and ensuring every student feels included and supported in their digital creative process.
- Attendance: Taking attendance and keeping accurate records on the roll sheet each day.
- Performance/Exhibition: Preparing digital artwork or projects for a final presentation at the end of the camp. This may involve guiding students in exporting, formatting, and presenting their digital creations.
- Communication: Maintaining verbal communication with the Camp Director for assistance with the classroom, students, equipment (computers, tablets, software), and materials, and/or the Digital Arts Chair for software or hardware needs.
- Safety: Prioritizing student safety in the digital environment, including guidelines for responsible internet use, digital citizenship, and ergonomic practices at the computer workstations. In case of a technical issue, safety concern, or incident, inform the Camp Director so parents can be contacted and an incident report can be filed if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Digital Arts, or related field

Professional experience as a digital artist and/or teacher in any of the digital arts disciplines

Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience
