Glocomms is partnering growing biotechnology organization that is seeking a Senior Cloud Security & Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance its cloud, server, network, and security environments. This individual will play a key role in maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure while partnering with both technical and business stakeholders.
This is a hands-on position offering the opportunity to work across cloud platforms, networking, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Administer and support cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and monitoring services.

Manage Windows and Linux server environments.

Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and routing.

Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity while supporting upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, vulnerability remediation efforts, and system hardening initiatives.

Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity programs.

Assist with cloud modernization, automation, and platform engineering projects.

Maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

Collaborate with internal teams, managed service providers, and technology vendors on projects and support activities.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or related experience.

Strong experience supporting AWS cloud environments.

Expertise with both Windows Server and Linux administration.

Experience with enterprise networking technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP.

Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability management, and access controls.

Experience supporting backup and disaster recovery processes.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other highly compliant environments.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.

Infrastructure automation and scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar tools.

Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.

Industry certifications related to cloud, infrastructure, networking, or security.
