Seeking an experienced Project Manager in the Wendell, NC area for a rapidly growing telecommunications construction company. Candidate should have significant prior work experience in coax and fiber construction management.
Qualifications:
- Required 5 years experience in the telecommunications industry
- Prior industry experience in large scale fiber deployments
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate via written and through oral communication
- Self motivated, positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to motivate others and work under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with cross functional teams
- Understanding of coax and fiber plant and construction procedures and materials
- Process improvement and customer-centric mindset
- Candidate should be well-organized, proactive, resourceful, flexible, able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers, meet deadlines
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and word processing programs
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work
- Flexibility in working overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Responsibilities:
- Lead and program manage a significant portion of fiber network build and upgrades
- Manage all aspects of the network design, engineering, wire center and outside plan build and related strategies and plans
- Direct local engineering teams and infrastructure services providers in all build design strategies and deployment scheduling and requirements
- Management performance, resource requirements and augmentation related to the fiber build program with both material OEMs and infrastructure services providers
- Provide operational and network strategy support in interactions with state and local government matters related to fiber deployment
- Support the application process for Federal, State and Local Municipality subsidies for broadband deployment funding
- Creates strategies to achieve business goals such as increasing revenues, optimizing expenses, and developing a skilled, motivated, satisfied, and diverse workforce
- Leads by example in creating an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas and best practices, and building strong cross-functional relationships
- Tracking all jobs and keeping the customer informed about project status and issues that may affect deadlines
- Review and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Facilitate communication between different teams involved in the construction process
- Assist in obtaining and tracking permits and locate tickets
- Creating and maintaining project files, and associated support documentation
- Other duties as assigned

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
