Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate potential vehicle suppliers through direct negotiations, sourcing strategies, and market research to secure competitive pricing and terms.
- Manage procurement processes utilizing ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400 to streamline purchasing workflows.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to align vehicle acquisitions with inventory management, logistics, and production planning requirements.
- Analyze Excel data for pricing trends, inventory levels, and procurement metrics to inform decision-making.
- Negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, and pricing terms with vendors while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Oversee the entire vehicle purchasing cycle from requisition to delivery, including logistics coordination and inventory control.
- Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure sourced vehicles meet quality standards and customer expectations in the e-commerce environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement or auto buying roles within automotive or related industries.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or equivalent platforms used for materials management and supply chain management.
- Demonstrated ability in direct negotiation procurement, sourcing strategies, and contract management.
- Proficiency in Excel data analysis for pricing evaluation, inventory tracking, and procurement reporting.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes including logistics, inventory management, production planning, and merchandising.
- Experience working with materials management systems like AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning tools.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to sourcing and vendor relationship management.
