Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food, beverages, and cocktails promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items including wine, spirits, and specialty cocktails to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process sales transactions accurately, handle cash and credit card payments, and issue receipts using POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining or high-volume environments
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances guest interactions
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail mixing, and upselling techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation protocols are important for compliance and safety standards
