OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN – Established private general/glaucoma ophthalmology practice is looking for an experienced ophthalmic technician able to do manual refractions and applanation tonometry. Must be reliable, friendly and hard working. Primary responsibilities include taking patient histories and performing diagnostic testing including vision testing, autorefractions, manual refractions, applanation tonometry, visual fields, OCT's, pachymetry and fundus photography. You must be experienced! The position can be full or part time. Our full-time hours are M, T, W, F 8:30am to 5:00 pm and Thursday 8:30 am to 7:30 pm. Salary is based on experience. Benefits include paid holidays, sick days and vacation time. A 401k with employer matching starts after the first year. You will be joining a staff of team players including 4 other technicians and 4 doctors. The office is busy but not crazy! We try hard to make this office a pleasant, non-abusive environment to work.
