A multi-employer Taft-Hartley Benefits Fund located in midtown Manhattan is seeking a Manager of Collections, Delinquencies and Payroll Audits .
The IATSE National Benefit Funds (“Funds”), located in New York City, are currently seeking a Manager of Collections, Delinquencies and Payroll Audits for their Finance Department. This position requires the Manager to be in the office located in New York City on a hybrid schedule.
The Individual will be responsible for the management of the workflow and staff within the Collections & Delinquencies & Payroll Audit function. The role would also be responsible for certain financial reporting, billing delinquencies, collection activities, internal payroll audits and budget preparation. Preparation of reports for internal use and for Board presentation are included in the role.
This role reports directly to the Director of Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Oversight of delinquency monitoring and collections including coordination with Fund Counsel and ensuring proper preparation and delivery of letters, notices, and other communications regarding delinquent employer contributions.
- Ensuring timely resolution of participant and employer contribution inquiries.
- Oversight of internal and external payroll auditors.
- Ensuring that applicable procedures and protocols are adequate for their purpose, documented, and consistently implemented and monitored.
- Work with other management personnel to revise current procedures and protocols to streamline and enhance workflow processes, increase productivity, and ensure accuracy.
- Provide oversight, guidance, motivation, and support to the Funds’ staff.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of related collections, delinquency, accounting, and payroll audits
- Strong management and leadership skills required; sound judgement and possess process improvement ability.
- Strong presentation skills at high level meetings
- Prior experience with Taft Hartley benefit funds preferred
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with staff, management, senior executive staff, employers, and local unions and more.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with effective planning and priority setting.
- Computer Proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft office products as well as various benefit systems

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
