Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions swiftly and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service through friendly communication and helpful assistance
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and basic math calculations for transactions
- Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about store merchandise to promote upselling opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented to enhance the shopping environment
- Maintain phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries via phone or in person
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing products and ensuring the retail store is clean, organized, and inviting
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with cash register operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) environments is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle retail math accurately for transactions and cash drawer balancing
- Experience with POS systems, retail sales, upselling techniques, and product knowledge is advantageous
- Supervising experience in retail or customer service roles is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities
- Ability to perform stocking duties and assist with merchandising efforts as needed
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions with shoppers
