Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-driven CDL Class A Driver to join our team. This role involves operating flatbed and lowbed trucks to deliver sod and agricultural products, as well as transporting farm and heavy equipment between job sites and properties.The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working in outdoor conditions, and committed to maintaining high safety and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbeds, tractor-trailers, and lowbed trucks
- Deliver sod and agricultural products to customers, landscapers, and construction sites
- Transport farm and heavy equipment between farms, yards, and job locations
- Load and unload freight and equipment using forklifts, tractors, or Moffett (piggyback) equipment (training available)
- Properly secure all loads, including sod pallets and equipment, to ensure safe transit
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and vehicle inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, farm managers, and customers regarding delivery schedules and route updates
- Assist with general farm tasks as needed, including staging loads and preparing materials
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company procedures
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical, pre-employment drug screening, and maintain Clearinghouse compliance
- Experience operating flatbed and/or lowbed equipment
- Experience transporting heavy or agricultural equipment preferred
- Ability to safely load/unload materials using equipment or manual labor
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions (heat, cold, mud)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work
- Strong communication skills and dependable work ethic
- Experience with farm operations or job site deliveries is a plus (training available)
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Occasional Saturdays during peak season
Rate of Pay- $28.50/hr
Pay: $28.50 per hour
