Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Big Kid Floater to join our vibrant childcare team! Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children across multiple classrooms, focusing on their safety and well-being.
- Support lead teachers with daily activities, transitions, and classroom routines to promote smooth operations.
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning activities, and social interactions that foster development and curiosity.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other essential caregiving tasks for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive conduct and emotional regulation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials, toys, and supplies to ensure a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members, parents, and guardians to share updates on children’s progress and needs.
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying roles.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Ability to handle various age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with patience and enthusiasm.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for young children.
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain it prior to start date.
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with classroom experience, caregiving routines, and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
