Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on infant development milestones and sensory exploration
- Provide attentive supervision and care to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Engage children in stimulating activities that promote cognitive, motor, and social-emotional growth
- Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, routines, and special needs to inform ongoing care strategies
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development, milestones, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive classroom environment that supports positive behavior management and classroom management strategies
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants in daycare centers, preschools, or similar childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision best practices
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR (pediatric first aid preferred) to ensure preparedness for emergencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing environment
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within a childcare setting
- Familiarity with early childhood education standards and developmental assessment tools
