Field Laborer – Environmental & Industrial Services
Atlantic Recovery Services is seeking reliable, hardworking Field Laborers to join our environmental and industrial services team.
This is a field labor position, not a janitorial or general cleaning position. Our crews work on industrial, utility, oil & gas, and environmental job sites performing services such as spill response, industrial cleaning, vacuum truck support, waste management, tank cleaning, and environmental remediation.
We are looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals who are willing to work hard, learn the industry, and grow with the company.
Emergency Response Requirement
This position requires availability for Emergency Response (ER) work. Employees must be willing to respond to emergency jobs when needed, including nights, weekends, and after-hours calls.
Responsibilities
- Assist crews with industrial cleaning, vacuum truck operations, spill response, and environmental remediation
- Perform physical field labor including shoveling, moving hoses, equipment setup, and site cleanup
- Assist with spill containment and cleanup
- Load and unload equipment, materials, and waste containers
- Support operators and drivers during waste removal and transportation work
- Wear required PPE and follow OSHA, company, and site-specific safety rules
- Assist with equipment cleaning, maintenance, and decontamination
- Help keep job sites organized, clean, and safe
- Follow directions from supervisors, foremen, and crew leaders
- Complete basic paperwork and incident reports when required
- Travel to job sites throughout the region as needed
- Be available for Emergency Response work when scheduled or called upon
Requirements
- Must be willing to perform physical labor in outdoor and industrial environments
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
- Must be reliable, punctual, and ready to work
- Must be willing to work long hours when required
- Must be willing to work around industrial equipment and in field conditions
- Must be willing to work in confined spaces when properly trained
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Previous experience in construction, environmental services, utilities, industrial cleaning, or spill response is a plus, but not required
Preferred, But Not Required
- OSHA 10
- OSHA 40 HAZWOPER
- Experience with vacuum trucks
- Experience with tank cleaning
- Experience with spill response or environmental cleanup
Training & Advancement
Atlantic Recovery Services provides paid training and free safety certifications for qualified employees. No previous environmental experience is required for the right person.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.50 per hour
