We are a staffing company, and our client, located in Commerce, GA is seeking an Yard Truck Driver.
Working Hours : Mon-Sun. 6am-6pm 2-3days off.

Join our dynamic construction team as a Yard Truck Driver working the day shift! In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty yard trucks to efficiently move construction materials, equipment, and utility components across our job sites. Your expertise will ensure smooth logistics, safety compliance, and timely delivery of resources essential for successful project completion. This position offers an energetic environment where your mechanical skills and construction experience make a real impact every day.
Duties
- Safely operate yard trucks, including dump trucks, water trucks, and other heavy vehicles to transport materials and equipment around construction sites.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on yard trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal safety and performance.
- Assist with loading and unloading construction machinery such as loaders, excavators, dozers, backhoes, graders, and horizontal drilling rigs.
- Coordinate with site supervisors to schedule deliveries and pickups that align with project timelines.
- Follow all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Utilize utility locating skills to identify underground utilities before excavation or utility work begins.
- Support construction utility work by operating specialized equipment like excavators, graders, or water trucks as needed for grading, excavation, paving, or utility installation.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving within a construction setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
- Skilled in loader operation, excavator handling, dozer use, backhoe operation, grader operation, and water truck management.
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques and tanker operations for fluid transport.
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to ensure compliance at all times.
- Ability to perform construction site utility work safely and efficiently.
- Experience with construction grading, paving projects, and general site logistics.
- Excellent understanding of heavy equipment operation including Caterpillar machinery types.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
