JOB Individual is responsible for the consistent enforcement and administration of the codes, standards, and county regulations pertinent to construction. Individual reports to the Lead Electrical Safety Inspector. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in the installation of electrical systems subject to inspection. Individual must be granted approval from the Ohio Department of Commerce Board of Building Standards to begin a (1) one-year training program at the time of hire and prior to starting.

The Electrical Safety Inspector Trainee will be required to complete the Board of Building Standards Academy, pass required examinations, and obtain full State of Ohio Certification as an Electrical Safety Inspector, prior to the end of the (1) one-year training program.

Trainees who have successfully completed the trainee program and obtain their full Electrical Safety Inspector certification from the Board of Building Standards will be advanced to Electrical Safety Inspector

Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Must meet and maintain qualifications for driving on county business as a continued condition of employment.

All required licenses and certificates must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
