The Director of Revenue provides strategic leadership for total resort revenue optimization through pricing, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making across all revenue-generating areas, including hotel rooms, spa, events, and other outlets. This role functions as a strategic overlay across departments, influencing pricing, inventory, and demand strategies without direct operational ownership. The Director of Revenue partners with Sales, Marketing, and Operations leadership to align business mix, maximize profitability, and ensure pricing integrity consistent with luxury resort standards.
- Develops and leads enterprise-wide revenue management strategies to optimize total resort profitability across all revenue streams, including rooms, gaming, sales, and retail.
- Drives pricing philosophy, rate structure, and segmentation strategy across all revenue streams.
- Establishes and leads recurring revenue strategy meetings with Sales, Marketing, and Operations leaders.
- Owns demand forecasting, pace analysis, and long-term revenue planning.
- Analyzes market trends, competitor positioning, and customer behavior to inform pricing and distribution decisions.
- Monitors and reports on key performance indicators, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, channel mix, and total revenue contribution.
- Partners with Director of Sales to optimize business mix, group displacement strategy, and contract pricing decisions.
- Partners with Marketing to design targeted yield plan to drive occupancy and gaming revenue.
- Collaborates with Marketing to align promotional strategies, digital campaigns, and demand generation efforts.
- Advises Hotel Operations, Spa, and other departments on pricing, packaging, and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Oversees revenue management systems, distribution channels, and pricing tools to ensure data accuracy and optimal performance.
- Leads system optimization, automation, and reporting enhancements to support decision-making.
- Supports budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in partnership with Finance and executive leadership.
- Evaluates revenue opportunities and risks, providing recommendations to maximize profitability.
- Leads and develops revenue management team members and/or analysts
- Provides thought leadership across the organization on pricing strategy and revenue optimization.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Attends meetings, leads revenue strategy sessions, and communicates insights to executive leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7 years' experience in revenue management, hospitality analytics, or related field, with 5 years in a leadership or strategic capacity.
- Proven experience influencing revenue strategy across multiple departments or business units.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, including forecasting, pricing strategy, and performance optimization.
- Experience with revenue management systems, PMS, CRS, and business intelligence tools.
- Experience in tribal casinos, luxury, and/or resort environments preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to coach and develop team members while maintaining accountability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
