Mountaineer Chimney Co. is looking for a motivated, dependable individual to join our team as a Chimney Sweep Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to learn a skilled trade with a growing company that takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with chimney sweeps and inspections
- Help install and repair fireplaces, wood stoves, pellet stoves, and chimney systems
- Assist with masonry repairs, chimney rebuilds, repointing, crowns, and flashing
- Load and unload tools and materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Learn industry standards, safety procedures, and proper installation techniques through hands-on training
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools required
- Masonry or construction experience preferred, but not required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work on ladders and rooftops
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license is preferred
