Friends Childcare is seeking a full time infant teacher to join our team, starting in mid/late August (will consider earlier if necessary). This is a year round, full time position and you will be working with co-teacher(s) to fulfill responsibilities.
Qualifications:
*EEC Teacher I/T certification
*Associate's degree or above in Early Childhood or related field
*Experience working with children 3mos-15mos old
*Experience planning curriculum, writing assessments, and holding conferences
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Flexibility in schedule; full time shifts are 9hrs with 1hr unpaid break.
Job responsibilities include:
*Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters children's social/emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
*Cater to the physical and social emotional needs of children, including changing diapers, feeding, preparing activities, etc.
*Maintaining organization/cleanliness of classroom.
*Updating children's portfolios, assessments, daily notes, etc.
*Attend monthly staff meetings and professional development workshops.
*Open communication between parents, staff, and administration on daily basis.
