Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, fostering positive change and emotional well-being. Your expertise in evidence-based practices, including behavioral therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention, will be instrumental in supporting clients through various challenges. This is a per client hour position, evenings and weekends required. quality supervision and support.
Duties
- Conduct intake assessments and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Deliver individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during emergencies.
- Collect and document clinical data accurately, maintaining detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare diagnosis codes like ICD-10/ICD-9.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, case management efforts, and community resources for clients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to provide counseling interventions remotely while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines.
- Engage in clinical research activities to support evidence-based practice improvements and contribute to ongoing program development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist or equivalent credential.
- Experience working with children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder preferred.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing, behavioral management techniques, and trauma-informed care including PTSD care.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, mental health counseling, case management, and patient assessment.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation standards, medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration within healthcare teams.
- Telehealth experience is highly desirable; ability to adapt counseling interventions for virtual delivery is essential.
