Job Title: Weekend Bartender & Prep Specialist (Night Shift Flexibility)
Location: Thelma's Bar & Lounge (at Super Funny Comedy Club)
Primary Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Required)
Additional Availability: Occasional night shifts as needed.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced and high-energy Bartender to join the team! This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their prep work but can also handle the heat of a packed house. You’ll be the weekend anchor, handling our Saturday and Sunday morning/afternoon shifts—our prime time for prepping the service bar for our massive nighttime comedy shows.
What you’ll be doing:
- The Prep Master: Setting the service bar up for success for the night team.
- The Face of the Lounge: Engaging people walking by and bringing them in for a drink.
- Cleanliness Pro: Maintaining a spotless and organized workspace, maintain great personal hygiene.
- Showtime Pro: Stepping into high-volume, fast-paced service bar shifts during our comedy shows.
Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Experience: Solid experience in high-volume service bars.
- Essential Functions: Accurate cash handling, POS operation, and strict ID verification for all guests.
- Licensing: Must be 21+ and possess (or obtain) a valid State-Mandated Alcohol Server Permit (MAST/CLASS 12/13) and a Food Handler’s Permit.
- Physical Ability: Able to stand/walk for 8 hours and lift/carry up to 50 lbs (kegs, ice, cases).
- Environment: Comfortable working in a loud, high-volume environment with dim lighting.
Compensation:
- Wage: Starting pay meets or exceeds local minimum wage for tipped employees.
- Tips: Eligible for tips, subject to the club’s Tip Pool/Sharing Policy (FLSA compliant).
Pay: $17.13 per hour
