We are actively seeking a professional Pest Control Technician to join the Complete Pest Solutions of Cleveland team! The primary responsibilities of this role include applying pest control treatments and setting traps to eliminate pests and wildlife in commercial and residential buildings and surrounding areas. In this role, you will help customers identify pest issues and recommend effective solutions. You will also inspect customer premises, explain available treatment options, and clean up any work-related debris upon completing each job.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be reliable, organized, efficient, and have practical problem-solving skills. You will interact with our customers daily, and having patient and respectful behavior is non-negotiable. Customer service is our top priority.
Pest Control Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
● Inspection and Assessment
○ Inspect buildings and surrounding grounds to identify pest activity, entry points, and treatment needs.
○ Review reports, site conditions, and customer concerns to determine the appropriate scope of work.
○ Design and carry out effective pest management plans based on each property’s needs.
● Treatment and Prevention
○ Apply pest control treatments safely and effectively to eliminate pests.
○ Apply pesticides and power-spray approved chemicals onto surfaces as required.
○ Set mechanical traps, place bait, and remove dead rodents after extermination.
○ Create barriers and recommend prevention methods to help keep pests from entering buildings.
○ Post warning signs and secure treatment areas when fumigation or restricted access is required.
● Customer Service and Job Completion
○ Recommend appropriate products or services to customers based on inspection findings.
○ Identify opportunities to offer additional company services and products when they meet customer needs.
○ Clean treatment areas and remove work-related debris or pesticide residue after application, as appropriate.
○ Complete all required paperwork at the end of each job.
○ Communicate to customers professionally, respectfully, and clearly.
Pest Control Technician Requirements:
● Education and Experience
○ High school diploma or GED required.
○ At least one year of professional pest control experience is preferred.
○ Strong knowledge of pesticide use, safety practices, and product characteristics.
● Licenses and Work Requirements
○ Valid driver’s license required.
○ Ability to work after hours, weekends, and public holidays with short or no notice.
○ Ability to work in all weather conditions.
● Physical Requirements
○ Ability to bend, climb, reach, kneel, and perform other physical tasks for extended periods.
● Skills and Personal Qualities
○ Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
○ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Compensation: Pay ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on performance, years of experience, and licensing.
