Highly skilled welder capable of completing complex structural welding assignments with minimal supervision. Serves as a technical resource for production teams.
Essential Duties

Perform advanced structural welding in all qualified positions.

Interpret complex blueprints and welding procedures.

Troubleshoot welding defects and fabrication issues.

Maintain high productivity and quality standards.

Mentor and train junior welders.

Support quality inspections and customer requirements.
Qualifications

Advanced welding certifications preferred.

Extensive knowledge of welding codes and procedures.

Proven ability to perform difficult welds consistently.
Experience

5+ years of structural welding experience.
Hours
Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm
Overtime may be required.
Requirements:
- Interpret complex blueprints, weld symbols, specifications, and work instructions.

Perform structural welding on highly complex assemblies and critical weldments.

Set up, troubleshoot, and optimize welding equipment and processes.

Execute multi-pass welds in all required welding positions.

Inspect and verify weld quality to ensure compliance with codes, specifications, and company standards.

Identify and correct welding defects and process issues.
-
Assist supervisors with training, mentoring, and evaluating Welder I and Welder II employees.

Operate oxy-fuel, plasma cutting, and other fabrication equipment.

Support continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives.

Ability to pass advanced welding qualification tests and certifications.

Advanced knowledge of structural welding practices, procedures, and weld symbols.

Strong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.

Proficiency in operating welding and cutting equipment.
-
Working knowledge of weld inspection methods and quality requirements.

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.

5–8 years of structural welding experience (or equivalent demonstrated proficiency).

Experience welding complex structural steel assemblies in a manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industrial environment.
