The role of a Behavioral Health Psychologist involves conducting one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pension exams for veterans. Key responsibilities include:
Conducting Meaningful C&P Exams: Analyze medical records, collaborate with Veterans to understand their health concerns and leverage your expertise to make informed decisions impacting their VA disability benefits.
Reviewing mental health history documentation to provide accurate findings relative to the degree of disability.
Documenting exam findings and ensuring compliance with VA guidelines and quality indicators.
Possessing a valid clinical license to practice independently and providing professional consultation and/or treatment as needed.
This role requires specialized experience, including conducting behavioral health assessments. It is essential for the psychologist to have a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently
- Based on the medical examination findings, diagnostic results, and medical record review, provide unbiased and evidence-based medical opinions regarding the extent of the veteran's health issues and their impact on their ability to work and carry out daily activities.
