Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning tasks, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying skimmer baskets to maintain water clarity and hygiene.
- Conduct regular pool water testing to monitor chemical levels such as pH, chlorine, and alkalinity; adjust chemicals accordingly to ensure safe swimming conditions.
- Inspect and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators; troubleshoot issues and perform repairs using hand tools and power tools.
- Identify potential mechanical problems early by conducting thorough inspections of pool systems; coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
- Document maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and equipment repairs accurately in logs for compliance and operational tracking.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance procedures to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff alike.
- Assist with emergency response procedures related to pool safety incidents or equipment failures promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various pool equipment components.
- Experience with pool maintenance techniques including chemical balancing, water testing, and cleaning methods.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with service technician practices related to pool systems and general maintenance procedures.
