Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Temporary Accounts Auditor to join our dynamic finance team! Duties
- Perform detailed internal financial audits across various departments, focusing on compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and other regulatory standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, including COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations) frameworks, to identify risks and recommend improvements.
- Assist in external and internal audit processes by preparing documentation, supporting audit teams, and ensuring timely completion of audit procedures.
- Review financial reports and assist in writing clear, comprehensive financial documentation for management review.
- Support risk management initiatives by analyzing financial data, identifying discrepancies, and suggesting mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the corporate accounting team to ensure accurate general ledger accounting and compliance with accounting standards.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Office skills and accounting software to analyze data, prepare reports, and maintain audit records efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Financial Audit Associate or in a similar internal/external auditing role within public accounting or corporate finance environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards), GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Hands-on experience with internal controls management, risk assessment, and internal financial compliance auditing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or manage auditors’ teams or assist in team management activities.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, technical accounting concepts, and the use of accounting software solutions.
- Excellent analysis skills with a keen eye for detail; strong written communication skills for financial report writing.
- Experience working with financial services or related industries is a plus; knowledge of internal audits and external audits is essential.
