Behavior Technician (245D High Intense Behavioral Residential Respite Program)
Location: Roseville
Open Positions: (PT positions have the availability to pick up shifts)
- PT Evenings: Thursday-Fridays and E/O Weekend 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
- PT Weekend Days: Every Other Saturday and Sunday 7am-3pm
- FT Awake Overnight: Monday-Wednesday and E/O Weekend 11pm-7am ( Weekdays will have later end times)
Midwest Residential is hiring Behavior Technicians for our Crisis Respite Program in Roseville. This program supports individuals in active crisis and stabilization, requiring staff who are confident working with frequent behavioral changes, escalation, and varying levels of acuity.
This is a hands-on, high-intensity role—ideal for candidates with strong behavioral experience who can effectively use de-escalation and intervention strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision and support to individuals in crisis
- Implement behavioral support plans and de-escalation strategies
- Maintain a safe, structured, therapeutic environment
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Accurately document behaviors, incidents, and interventions
- Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity of care
- Respond effectively to escalating behaviors and crisis situations
Required Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior experience with high behaviors, crisis intervention, or behavioral health REQUIRED
- Background in DSP, mental health, residential care, or similar preferred
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions in high-stress situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to complete and apply Safety-Care (or similar) training
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DHS background study
Preferred:
- Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses, trauma, or developmental disabilities
- Medication administration experience (or willingness to train)
- Previous experience in crisis respite, group homes, or inpatient settings
