We are seeking a Manual Lathe Machinist for our valued client in Wixom.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and manual lathe machines to produce intricate components according to engineering specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining processes and sequence of operations.
- Perform inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy and compliance with tolerances.
- Identify and troubleshoot machining issues, implementing corrective actions to maintain production efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining operations, reduce waste, and optimize cycle times.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior machinists, sharing best practices in machining techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine designs for manufacturability and improve machining processes.
